Phu Tho Circus and Multi-purpose Performance Theater, worth nearly VND1,400 billion, adds space for cultural and entertainment activities in Ho Chi Minh City, inaugurated on August 19.
The project is located on Lu Gia Street, next to the old Phu Tho Stadium and Racetrack, District 11, completed after more than two years of construction. Built on an area of over 10,000 m2 including two basements, 12 floors above ground, over 57 m high, this is the largest and most modern circus and multi-purpose performance theater in Ho Chi Minh City to date.
The circus and multi-purpose performance block is arranged on the upper floors, the underground part is for parking areas, technical rooms, props, and character creation areas. A representative of Construction Corporation No. 1 (CC1 - one of the main contractors) said that the large and important item of the project is the main auditorium designed with 2,000 seats, including a mobile round stage and a rectangular stage in succession. This place is integrated with modern sound, lighting, and electromechanical systems, serving different programs.

The project also has a 300-seat training auditorium with two circular stages equipped with many modern equipment such as: zipline, double trapeze, triple ladder, aerial belt, acrobatics. In addition, the project also includes the design of exhibition areas, conferences, backstage rooms, makeup, service areas, and animal training areas.
At the inauguration ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Tran Thi Dieu Thuy said that Phu Tho Theater is both a place for performing arts and a center for training and exchange of artists, a new destination for domestic and foreign audiences. According to the orientation of Ho Chi Minh City, the project will become a "stage for great works", an artist training center, a place for creative community exchange and a cultural tourism highlight, contributing to promoting the economy and society.
To make the project effective, city leaders requested the Department of Culture and Sports to soon complete the operational plan, audience attraction strategy as well as build a management and operation model.

Phu Tho Circus and Multi-purpose Performance Hall is one of eight major cultural projects in the new construction plan in Ho Chi Minh City.
